Listen to authentic Cuban music, and maybe dance a little salsa, before you sit down to this private gourmet dinner.  Chef Ann Leon has crafted a special menu of traditional Cuban and Caribbean delicacies, of course adding her own touches to make for a one of a kind culinary experience.
This is a fundraiser for Cubanabooks, a small press dedicated to publishing women writers from Cuba.  This is the first and only press to offer an exclusive venue for the free expression of Cuban women here in the united States–and these strong women have a lot to say! From their stories and poetry we gain a perspective on life, universally as well as for the people who reside only ninety miles from our shores.  Through this work Cubanabooks also provides financial stability for Cuban women, who suffer more proportionally from the economic hardships currently endured on the island.
Tickets will be available until Sunday, May 27 at Leon Bistro, through Event Brite at: http://cubanabooks.eventbrite.com, or from Cubanabooks founder Sara E. Cooper (scooper@csuchico.edu) for your partially tax-deductivle donation of $125.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE CLOSED JUNE 23-24 FOR VACATION
