We have chosen recipes that you will be able to make quickly for a lovely, elegant meal.

Suppose you did have time to plan and buy the items you need,
but then less than an hour to prepare them on the day of the party.
More suggestions and recipes for wonderful meals that you can put together in just a short time.
Tues. March 9th
Thomas Keller and Ad Hoc
Thomas Keller, the Chef/Owner of the renowned restaurant, The French Laundry,
is famous for his intricate recipes and exquisite meals.
He has recently opened Ad Hoc, a small restaurant where the menu is far simpler
and celebrates locally-grown ingredients picked at their prime of flavor and texture.
This is what we shall do, using Chico-area ingredients,
and creating menus and dishes similar in style to those of Ad Hoc.
Classes are from 6:30 to 9:00 pm
Price: $60/person and $110/couple Classes are limited to 15 people or less. We will eat what we cook, and enjoy wines and other beverages. (We are no longer including aprons, but they will continue to be available if you want them.)

The LEON BISTRO on Main Street is a place where Chicoans and visitors can enjoy delicious food in a relaxing and gracious atmosphere. With LEON BISTRO, the neighborhood gains a restaurant that emphasizes California-bistro cuisine—familiar foods prepared with skill and verve, and incorporating interesting tastes of other cultures and cuisines.
Some of the specialties on the menu are:

Crab cakes served with avocado cream and spicy mango coulis.

Sliced Portabello mushroom fritters served with a lemon aioli and fresh herb vinaigrette.

Bacon-wrapped Black Angus filet mignon served with buttermilk garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and a wild mushroom demi-glace.
- Burger Leon ½ Ib. Black Angus beef, grilled onions, crispy-fried cheddar slice, lettuce, tomato, pickle & BBQ sauce.
We also serve Sierra Nevada and other beers on tap, and a fine selection of California wines.

Hours:
Dinner: Wednesday through Saturday 5- until closing
Champagne Brunch: Saturday 9-2 and Sunday 9-3.
Happy Hour: 5-7 PM, Wednesday-Friday
Our wine room is available for your private party.
We are equipped to do "drop off" catering.
